When a business
goes bankrupt, its
data must not.
Onback helps trustees and law firms secure data from bankrupt companies — quickly, documented and responsibly. Also internationally.
A race against a powered-off server.
When a business goes bankrupt, the trustee often has only a narrow window: servers are still on, cloud accounts still active, hardware still on-site. Within a short time it can all be gone — subscriptions expire, equipment disappears, and data that may be crucial for the bankruptcy proceedings is lost for good.
Onback moves in. I secure everything, document what has been done, and hand it back in a form that can be used — even years later, if the case demands it.
After preservation: make the mail archives searchable.
Having the data is rarely enough on its own. The trustee often needs to search across hundreds of thousands of emails and attachments to understand the company, close the estate and trace irregularities. For that, we've built PST-Extraction — a system designed specifically for lawyers handling bankruptcy proceedings.
