01 — PST-Extraction · tool for trustees

The mailbox
knows everything.
Now it's searchable.

As a trustee, you have little time to understand a business you've never been part of. The mail archives hold the answers — but Outlook doesn't give you cross-mailbox access, and manual review is impossible. PST-Extraction solves it.

Find the emails you need — when the bankruptcy estate has to be settled.

Send the mail archives to us. Log in to the system. And search across the entire estate — including inside attached PDFs, Word documents and invoices.

Bankruptcy estates typically have mail archives from several employees: the CEO, the CFO, the sales director, the purchaser. Each has PST files from years of work. PST-Extraction gathers them all into a single searchable overview, organised by company and employee.

03

Five good reasons.

— 01

From hundreds of archives to a single search

All mailboxes from all employees in the estate — gathered into one searchable overview, organised by company and employee. No fumbling between PST files in Outlook.

— 02

Searches attachments too

The word "guarantee" may not appear in the email text — it's in an attached PDF from the bank. PST-Extraction automatically extracts text from PDF, Word, Excel and other common formats, so you find the document even when it's only in an attachment.

— 03

Evidence you can trust

The system stores the original mail files untouched. Attachments are downloaded in their original format, not as copies or extracts. If you need to use an email as evidence in court, you can point to the original PST file.

— 04

Built for multiple cases at once

A single trustee's office may have several ongoing estates. PST-Extraction keeps them completely separate — both in search and in access. The junior associate can be granted access to some cases and not others. User access is managed by you as trustee.

— 05

No installation, no operations, no hassle

The system is operated by us. You receive a login and are ready to work right away. No software to install, no server to maintain, no technical requirements on your office IT.

04

From handover to first search.

I.
Handover of archives
You send us the PST files — or give us access to where they live. We handle getting them into the system. There is no limit on age or size — archives from 2010 are handled the same way as archives from last year.
II.
You get a login
As soon as the material is ready, you and your colleagues receive logins to the system. Access is managed per estate — your assistants only see the cases they work on.
III.
Search across everything
Type what you're looking for in the search field. The system goes through all emails, all attachments, all text formats — and shows you the most relevant results with the text highlighted so you can quickly tell if it's what you're after. Narrow down with filters: sender, recipient, timeframe, Outlook folder.
IV.
Retrieval tools that fit your workflow
Save searches as "search lists" — collections of keywords you typically need to look for. One list for insolvency signs (reminder, due date, credit line, distressed), one for guarantees and warranties, one for conflicts of interest. Lists can be shared across cases with a single click.
V.
Open the individual email
Click a result to see the full email: sender, all recipients, date, full text, all attachments. Click an attachment to download the original document.

Mail archives

PST from all newer Outlook versions

Both personal mailboxes and shared mailboxes. Calendar and tasks are ignored — only emails are indexed.
Attachments

PDF, Word, Excel & more

PDF, doc/docx, xls/xlsx, PowerPoint, RTF, HTML and more. Encrypted or corrupt files are clearly marked.
Languages

All languages

The system makes no linguistic interpretation — it finds exactly the words you search for in any language, without surprises.
06

Data that stays where it belongs.

A trustee's material is confidential by nature. We built PST-Extraction with that principle in mind from day one.

  • Data in Denmark. All data is stored on servers in Denmark. No emails or metadata leave Danish borders.
  • No third parties. There are no subcontractors with access to your data. No cloud services in the US, no external AI reading along.
  • Access control. Each user has their own login with an encrypted password. Access to each case is managed individually by you as trustee. Sessions expire automatically after eight hours of inactivity.
  • GDPR. We enter into a data processing agreement with you as data controller. Our processing is limited to what is technically necessary to run the system.
  • Full transparency. The import log shows exactly what has been processed, what has been skipped, and why. No hidden failures.
  • Deletion when you're done. When the estate has been closed and you no longer need access, we permanently delete the material by agreement.
07

Simple pricing.

You pay one combined price per bankruptcy estate. The price depends on the number of PST files, in three tiers:

  • — 1-20 PST files
  • — 21-100 PST files
  • — 101+ PST files

The price covers preparation of the case in the system, logins for you and your colleagues, import of all mail archives, and all operations, backup and support for as long as the estate is active.

Discount

If Onback has also handled the data extraction from the bankruptcy estate (see legal support), a discount applies to the combined price.
